Corte to Zurich (LFKT-LSZH)

Today it’s my final leg to this excellent tour and it will be the opportunity to visit a little some nice landscapes in Corsica and Swiss Alps. It will be a flight under Z flight rules but with a departure and arrival in VFR.

For my VFR departure in Corsica, after my takeoff I will join the road N193 in the valley to Caporalino & Francardo cities. That would bring me to Ponte Leccia and in continuing to follow the valley & N197 to the sea to the FIX point RATAP.

The vertical profile is not difficult, the TMA of BASTIA start from Ponte Leccia from 5000ft (class E), that will be my reference to  take some altitude to prepare my insertion point to RATAP and IFR level.

 

 

After my IFR trip i will pass on VFR from DETRI. I will take a heading of 340° to reach Tujetsch city and Via Alpsu. If the weather is ok for a visit tour of Swiss Alps. I would initiate my descent up to 10’000 feet in a first step  and turn to the left to follow the valley  until Andermatt, while I will continue my descent if the visibility is correct. I will follow the valley on the right to Wassen and Selenen cities. That would bring me to Lucerne lake and Küssnacht city. I will continue to Zoug then Horgen where i will turn on left to join the VFR S entry point fo Zurich.

 

My aircraft has been repaired once again ! The damages were not so important afterall. A battery recharged and some circuit breakers to change and some minors equipments but required for my engines. The next time I will double check to dont forget anything in my checklist !

Last checks from the excellent mech guys and we will be ready to onboard and continue our trip.

Arriving to the Sierra point of Zurich I request to the Tower a landing on rwy 10 if possible ( Information Delta LSZH_TWR information DELTA LSZH  00000KT CAVOK 19/07 Q1033 NOSIG ARR RWY 14ILS / DEP RWY 28SEC16 / TRL FL65 / TA 7000FT), that would be easier for me to continue on the runway to the end and take the last holding point to go to the General Aviation Sector 1. Unfortunately my request is refused and I have to follow the downwind for rwy 28.

After Sierra point of Zurich I am continuing to W2.

After the entry point VFR South of Zurich I am arriving to the W2, turning right at the end of leg the controller request my intention and ask me to turn on my left and continue away to finally come back to the runway 28 asking me to report the rwy 28 (he was afraid that I was maybe a little high, but the landing was smooth, I love this bird) and  I vacate the runway at holding point J.
