Today the weather is not so great, cloudy , it’s definitively not anymore the summer. The mission today will be an IFR trip based on VOR navigation.
- Depart in Lampedusa on Runway 08 and intercept RADIAL 080 from VOR LPD.
- At DME 10 from VOR LPD turn left to heading 290 and intercept RADIAL 340 from VOR LPD.
- Maintain RADIAL 340 from VOR LPD to RADIAL 080 from VOR MON intercept RADIAL MON on RADIAL 080 (to).
- Maintain RADIAL 080 of VOR MON even after crossing the VOR.
- At DME 35 of VOR MON turn to heading 330 to RADIAL 230 of VOR TUC.
- Intercept RADIAL 230 of the VOR TUC to the VOR.
- Fly on this RADIAL to the waypoint GOLLA and join the ILS Z RWY 19 Aproach via GOLLA.
- On the minimum initiate a GO-Around and fly the Standard Missed approach procedure and join the published Holding.
- Fly at least 2 Holdings turns and afterwards an approach according the actual wind direction and land in Tunis.
So today it will be a visit of dessert and I hope yellow and orange countryscape from Tunisia. That would be a little more interesting than the desertic Lampedusa island 🙂 but with this temperature, and at FL120 as i planned, i would have a temperature of around 0° so better find my favorite warm coatand don’t forget the heat, would be stupid to get a flu and have a red nose for the next trip !

Missed approach ILS 19, damned crosswind !
Standard missed approach procedure. Direction to the holding circuit at OUTIK.
At this moment the Tower contacted me and after I have performed my circuit I get an authorization for an ILS 29 in passing by MARSA in North side (and finally for a second ARC-DME) with a B737 around (higher at FL110 anyway).
Finally landing to Carthage, but the weather disapoint me … does not matter I will do a little tourism trip once the sun is back.
