While i woke up this morning the weather was great and i was thinking it would be a great day to make some nice trips in the Alps 🙂
And this feeling was confirmed on the Buochs airport !
According to the SID WILLISAU 2A a minimum climb gradient of 13.7% up to 8000′ is required, the 230 Knots limitation max is not a problem for my little bird but the climb rate can be interesting to try.
After takeoff a little view on my right show me Stansstad and the bridge to Hergiswil
Passing ZC601 point i turn on right to WIL and continue to clim to FL150
Above the 13’000 – 14’000 i remember that hypoxia woould arrive quickly so i prefer activate the oxygen mask
Arriving soon on ODINA, it’s the entry point for the STAR on lugano
I descend on ILU to FL110Â before to initiate LOC-LIMA RWY01 FOR CIRCLING RWY 19Â approach .
After the break off point Rwy 19 i turn on the right to follow the 033° heading, a little high and take as visual reference this hill to initiate my final turn on the left.Â
During this approach i notice a traffic (airship) that could be dangerous if i continue a landing on rwy 19 so i decide to continue this landing with my left turn to be in same direction than the runway but at around 3000′ to avoid the airship and continue this kind of safety go-around to climb to 600′ to join PINIK point.
Once PINIK passed i make my approach and landing IGS RWY 01 to Lugano. The wind is almost null CAVOK condition for a QNH 1020, i enjoy the final on Lugano.
